A Visit from Good Friends

The week was a pretty normal one...keep Gera in your prayers as his math professor quit six weeks before he takes his test. We were blessed this weekend to have Michael, Lisa, Joseph and Alyssa staying with us this weekend. Our little apartment was stretched to the max with four adults and three kids. We really had lots of fun though as you will see...

Friday started out a little different then we had planned, but I can now say that I have officially been inducted in the Official Club of Mothers. Katy was rolling around and crying in obvious pain. I thought it was just gas, but I soon found out that I was wrong. The realization was running through my mind that a mother will go through great lengths to comfort their child as a I watched her throw up the source of her discomfort all over me. Upon further inspection, we realized that she had eaten some bad fruit and her stomache rejected it. After a nice warm bath for both of us, she was all smiles.

Saturday morning started nice and early.

It was fun to watch Katy and Alyssa play together. Here they are looking at one of Katy's favorite books.

Saturday afternoon we went to Multiplaza del Este ( a mall nearby) and got tired out on the jungle gym. At first Katy was a little intimidated by all the activity, but after a few minutes she warmed up and fell in love with the slide.

She loved it so much, she even tried to go up it.

She inherited Grandma's inability to keep her eyes open for a picture, so this is the best I could get.

Our two girls were both very tired after the afternoon at the mall. By the way, I'm driving now! I'm even getting pretty good at starting up hills.

While the girls took a nap, the boys were up to some mischief. Using some assessories borrowed from Michael, Gera was able to take a new profile picture for his rollerblading club/blog type thing.

Notice anything different?

After their nap, it was supper time. The kids were thrilled with their rice and beans. Alyssa ate hers quickly and then came over to visit Katy. Katy, being the nice friend that she is, decided to share her supper with Ally which we all got a kick out of.

That night we just enjoyed hanging out with each other, playing some Guitar Hero songs (Michael brought his PS2 and all the necessary accesories). It was around that time that the virus hit. First Alyssa had a fever, then Joseph and finally it hit Katy in the early morning. The fever was soon accompanied by diahrea. On Sunday morning, Gera was the only one who was not suffering from the virus.

Despite feeling horrible, we managed to get everyone to look at the camera with a semi-smile for a group picture.

Hello! I loved watching Katy feed Ally. She is going to be a good oldest sibling! :) Love to you all!

Is the "notice anything different" Gerardos arm now completely tattooed or he has more tattos? Because there seems to be a lot more on that one arm! I also liked the comment about mom's inability to keep her eyes open during a picture...it made me giggle!!:)
