Learning

Sorry, no pictures of the new house yet. I'm at work and had some time to just add some comments. The new house is a work in progress. At least the living space, meaning kitchen and living room, have been cleared of clutter and organized. The rest is like a treasure hunt. We're constantly asking each other if they've seen this thing or that, and then the hunt begins. Katy is loving the new house and enjoys all the space to play and explore. We even have a nice long hallway to the back which makes a great track for her car.

Every day we learn new things about our daughter. The two that I've really noticed recently are that she does not like her hand dirty. She will often fall, but would rather call for help to get up than put her hands on the ground to get herself up. If she does get the feeling of dirt or sand on them, she will come over to one of us with the soiled hand open palm up and show us. Being the supportive parents that we are we will wipe it on ourselves to get the offensive dirt off, even when we don't see anything there.

The other is her hair. It is a constant distress to me that she takes the barrettes I put in out. But recently I noticed she doesn't like hair in her face. If it is in her eyes, she will attempt to brush it away. Ironic.

I've often wondered why and how things worked out with the house, and the only answer I have is God. But why would He do it? Again, for His Glory, so let me say it again Praise the Lord! I'm in continued awe of who He is and what He can do.
