Our first few days in the USA we spent with our good friends the Hess/Drinkall family. Alicia and I have been friends (or BFF) since we were 10 year old. Over the last, dare I say it, 23 years (WOW!!!) we have had our ups and downs, good time and bad, happy and sad, but through it all I know that she will always be there for me. This visit was extra special as I was able to see her with energy and life again after battling cancer the year before. God has truly blessed me with this special, life-long friend.

Every time our family heads up from CR, we make it a point to see each other with her parents place as the meeting point, also known as the Moose Trail Lodge. This time we were able to make it for a few days of Camp Oma + Opa. For those of you that are wondering, Alicia's mom invented Camp Oma when her grandkids started coming around. It is kind of like a VBS where they study different aspects of God's creation. our four days with them included...
| swimming |
| wagon rides |
| tractor rides with Opa |
| grilling out over the fire |
| eating outside |
| running |
| picnicing |
| learning about God's creation |
| catching butterflies |
| playing in the sandbox |
| kite flying |
I'm sure there are some activities I've missed, but that's a lot for a few days.
