Time With Katy

Yesterday was a great blessing. Thanks to all who made it special and no, I don't feel any older than I did yesterday:) Being off these past few days has been great. I've loved spending so much time with Katy. I've even heard some new words that she's added to her vocabulary including "ve" (which is see or look in Spanish) and "belly button".

Last week, I found a recipe for finger painting online and we tried it out today. Of course, the water had to be cut off today which complicated clean up. I'm sure there are still random spots of green "paint" on us both, but it sure was fun.

I also had a chance to hang up the beautiful butterflies that our friend Brittany had made for Katy's room. We pinned them on her mosquito netting and she was fascinated with them. The butterflies definately add some depth to the room.

After lunch yesterday, we went to Kathy's house and watched a movie while Katy had fun exploring the house. She found a new hiding spot which was just perfect for her.

Katy also got to meet Sammy, under strict supervision of course.

For those that are wondering what happened to Bunny, his owner responded to the fliers we put up and he was returned on Thursday night.

A cute and yet disgusting story at the same time, on Thursday it was really hot. When Katy laid down for her nap, she was wearing only her diaper. When she woke up Gera and Mami heard her talking and since she was so content, they decided to leave her their for a while. After a few minutes, Mami went in to check on her and was appalled to discover a thrilled Katy covered in poop! It turns out that she had taken her diaper off and was exploring the texture (and we're pretty sure the taste) of her "caca". Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures to accompany the story, so I'll let your imagination run wild.

That is sooo gross! LOL HAHAHA And oh so funny! We will try to skype with you tonight or tomorrow night. We are looking forward to it. I can't wait until Kyle gets back from class and I can tell him Katy's story. He is going to laugh so hard! Thanks for brightening my day with that one.
