The Two Missing Weeks

The Wednesday before Easter, Katy and I were invited on a picnic with some friends.

Here Katy is with our church friend, Pam, quite adult-like and proud of herself in the chair she got in all by herself.

There was also a swing set, made for bigger kids, but Katy had some fun anyway.

Much to the delight of our friend Kathy, Katy finally warmed up to her and they had fun playing cards.

Kathy's husband, Darrel, also got in on some card playing. Darrel and Kathy were the couple that gave us our marriage counseling.

The Saturday before Easter, we visited a new park nearby. Katy got to swing with Daddy...

... and Mommy.

She was also quite comfortable walking throught the tunnel and going down the slide, which is by far her favorite.

Unfortunately, the steps going up were not quite her size so a little assistance from Mommy was necessary.

While unpacking, she had a blast with her new hat...

...and the goggles .

Katy was invited to her friend, Elias' birthday part. The theme was some bug show on the Discovery channel.
We've never watched it, but the party hats , made by Elias' mom, Shirley, were sure cute. She only left it on long enough for the picture thought.

She was fascinated with the balloons.

They had face painting for which she sat very still for on Daddy's lap.

They also rented a little bouncy house.

The big kids dominated it, but Katy got some time in too.

After about an hour she was pretty tired out. There was lots to do.
