She was so excited, wanting to feed the puppy her lunch, give the puppy water and go "nigh night" with the puppy.
A friend of Gera's had some puppies they were giving away, so Gera chose this one for Katy. We're not sure what kind of dog she is, but they are pretty sure the father was a purebred of some kind. She supposedly won't get too big and was the smallest, but bravest in the litter.

Any advice about training a puppy is welcome.

HI! Well, I got a whole packet of information at the vet yesterday. One of the best ways to potty train it is to have it in a crate for sleeping. It is the puppy's little home and Nala loves hers already. We put an old pillow in it with some toys and the vet papers recommended a fleece blanket (I used an old fleece sweatshirt) to remind her of her mom. Make sure you all use the same commands. When she goes out say, "potty" so she will go right away. Take her outside after every change in activity, sleeping, eating, playing, so she will get used to going to the bathroom outside. Or if she runs to another room that she doesn't usually go to then she is probably trying to hide her mess. Like Nala does in the front room. Or when she pooped in the garage today! HAHA Give her lots of cuddle time cause she will be super cuddly when she is old too. She is so cute!!! I am so happy you all are joining in our fun! You might have to stow her away when you come to the states so her and Nala can be friends! If you have any other questions let me know and I will ask my dad.
