After Emily and Laura left, Gera's cousin, Evance, and his girlfriend, Amber, came for a 3 day visit.

We really enjoyed showing them Costa Rican culture with a visit to the feria and some copos(snowcones).

We also spent some time at Gera's parents house.
They also got to spend Mother's Day (August 15) with us at Gera's aunt's house.
There were tamales...
...and lots of dancing.

School is in full swing now. We've even had our first field trip. I have 17 students, 5 girls and 12 boys. They are very inquisitive kids which makes teaching them fun, but they are also very active which causes for more class management issues.Gera has been pretty busy despite the end of the seminar. He had a week of training for this new job that he started, helping administrate a wood exportation farm along the Nicaraguan border. He had his first bachillerato test two weeks ago which he passed! Only 5 more to go in March and then he will be done! He also managed a side job these past two weekends with decorating different banks for the upcoming Costa Rican Independence Day.
Katy seems to adjusting to the school routine again, although it was hard for her the first few weeks. She is talking lots more including phrases. Her Spanish is quickly catching up to her spoken English, although understanding is equal in them both.
I think that is about all. Hopefully, now that things seem to be settling into a routine, I'll be able to update more frequently again.
