Christmas Cookies!!!

Last week was the Christmas party for Gera's work. They got a deal for a day at the beach and we had so much fun. Unfortunately, we didn't take any pictures with our camera and the ones on our friend's camera we haven't been sent yet.

I took advantage of the day to attempt to french braid Katy's hair and it worked!! Here is the front shot...
...and here is the view from the back.

She slept with them in and they stayed pretty well with just some minor fixes in the morning.

This weekend is Christmas cookie weekend. We made many different kinds and it was a whole family project.

Katy mixing dough with mommy for the thumbprints.

Making the little balls and Katy helping place them on the cookie sheet. She needed a little help to get them all in the neat rows, but she was really good about not eating them:)

Then came the "thumbprint" part. She needed some help in the beginning to know just how deep to stick her finger in, but after a while she got the hang of it and was "thumbprinting" by herself.

Showing off the oven-ready product before they get baked.
Below you can see the finished product in the lower right hand corner.

Katy and Daddy cutting out the sugar cookies.

It was also the last week of school, so I took advantage of the nice afternoon to get a nice class picture. These are all my wonderful 3rd grade students.
