As promised, here is a photo summary of Katy's 2nd birthday party. As we waited for everyone to arrive, we got out the finger paints, which she loved.

Her "cousin" Daniela painted with her while "Gijo" helped to keep her as clean as possible. Of course, later on we got her painting smock on and just let her go at it. It was very cute because she only used one finger the whole time.

After that was the meal of arroz con pollo, beans, salad and chips. She is definately two now because getting her to eat is more of a challenge. She felt all grown up sitting in her chair like everyone else.

While everyone else was finishing and talking, Katy went back to coloring her stars, which was the theme of the party in case you haven't guessed. She loved coloring so much that when asked if she wanted to open presents, she calmly, but firmly, answered "nope".

We did eventually pull her away from her coloring and she had fun opening her presents. One of which also delighted mommy.

She also got Chloe and a stroller for Chloe. The first thing Katy said when she opened the doll was "hair!" Her other baby doesn't have any hair.
The final gift was a horsie from her Tio Daniel. She loves horsies and is always looking at them in books and pictures. Her reaction was just a little unexpected.

Then it was time for cake. You can't really tell in this picture, but it is in the shape of a star too.
She tried her hardest to blow the candle out, but, after almost burning her face, we helped her out just a little bit.
All in all, the party turned out perfect for her. She enjoyed seeing all the people that she knows and loves in one place. We are very blessed to have such wonderful friends and family to celebrate these moments with and can't wait to celebrate more when we head to the cold north for the holidays.
Sorry ladies and gentlemen, no belly pictures yet. However, there's no need to worry because it is there. I'll see what I can do over the next few days.

Happy Birthday Katie
Two years old already!
It won't be long and you will be heading north and if the weather report is correct there will be snow.....14 inches are expected along with blizzard conditions.
Maybe I'll get to make a snowman tomorrow!
