Counting Down...

Being at home these last 4 weeks (I'm hoping) of pregnancy has allowed us to spend more time together as a family and with friends.

Here Katy is playing with our friend's daughter, Keyla, whom she adores. Since we are getting ready for Elena's arrival, they were playing with "Elena's toys".

Supposedly I'm supposed to be at home resting, but what fun is in that. Last week Sunday we got the chance to watch a real football game. Yes, you read football, not soccer! They are in the process of starting a Tico Football League and Gera has gone to a few practices to see how it goes.

We were just specators. "Our team" is the green and white one, called the San Francisco Jaguares. We won, but let me say that it was definately an experience.

As the last week is approaching, I'm taking advantage of satisfying my cravings, trying to make them as healthy as possible of course:)
One thing I can say is that although I can't wait to bend at the waist again, I'll miss my own personal TV tray.

Mommy and Daddy are not the only ones anxiously awaiting for Elena to arrive. Katy is very excited about her new sister.
Although I think she will miss the little shelf that Elena has provided for her to sit on when she gives Mommy a hug.

One of Katy's favorite past times, by choice, is to read. She will very carfully choose the book(s) that she wants to read and then bring it/them to the couch where she will camp out for at least 20 minutes "reading".
Of course, when she sees Daddy doing it too, that just makes her even more serious in her reading.
As the waiting game continues, we'll keep you posted. Just stay tuned!
