We enjoyed a double duty father's day this year. It turns out that Gera's dad's birthday was on father's day this year, so we spent the afternoon at my in-law's house, relaxing and enjoying time with family.
In the spirit of the World Cup, the OM team had a prayer meeting praying specifically for each of the countries that have teams represented in the event. Each team member chose a country to research and give a quick presentation with 3 prayer petitions to pray for. Gera and I were given the USA:) It was truly an amazing time and really opened my eyes to how much there is in this world that really needs our prayer. Katy behaved marvelously, although a 3 hour prayer meeting is hard for any toddler, so we did play some tag team.
The girls are keep us busy. Elena's big milestone is that she is beginning to smile at us now. Ironically, she is warmer towards Gera and Katy than she is towards her own mommy, but we are working on that. Katy continues to help out alot. One way is by combing Elena's hair in the morning. She also loves to hold Elena who usually enjoys it just as much. Katy has started swimming lessons, which mommy also gets to participate in.
