Togetherness

Gera went in to check on the girls one nights and was fascinated to find them sleeping in mirror images of each other. Their beds are set up just like you see in the pictures with Elena on the left and Katy on the right. Notice position of the legs, arms and blankets. Both of our girls do not keep the blankets on at night, although for different reasons: Elena just moves to much but Katy gets too hot.

Elena has discovered her feet and toes thanks to her daddy. She is often found in this position or even tries to put them in her mouth when she is sitting up.

As a result, she has also discovered her socks. She loves playing with them, even if they don't smell very good.

Gera has been able to spend some quality time with the girls. Here is the castle that he made with Katy one night.

He said that Katy made a real nice one too, but then knocked it over before the picture could be taken.

Katy loves riding her bike around and asked me to ride on it with her one day. Of course, she soon learned that Mommy doesn't fit on her bike. So, I decided to sit Elena on and they rode around the house happy as larks.

It has been such a joy to see the two of them grow up together, learn together and play together. Elena is still one of the first things that Katy looks for when she wakes up.

She loves to sit up, but doesn't quite of the control to let her sit alone on the floor, so the bumpo comes in handy.

I think she enjoys the bumpo more because she can move her feet freely.
