As we counted down the days till summer vacation, here are some of the candids that were caught on film.

Daddy was quite impressed with Katy's tight grip as Mommy did some exercise.

Daddy wanted a try too, but Elena jumped in and they took this fun picture instead.

Without the coffeemaker, we have resorted to the old-fashioned way of making coffee. In Costa Rica it is called choreado. Gera took the tray from Katy's high-chair, cut it out with his dad's jigsaw and made his own. Although we are still trying to master the perfect measurements, he is enjoying his coffee.

Katy will always be Daddy's girl.

Reading books with Aya. Elena is enjoying books too now.
For Elena's birthday, Grandmama sent some pairs of matching pajamas. Thank you Papa and Grandmama! We love them!

Katy had the chicken pox the week before semana santa and Elena got them the week after. She was a true sport and wasn't bothered by them too much. However, her defenses were lowered so that the week after she was all scabbed over she had a fever for three days and then a few days later broke out in a weird rash on her legs, arms and face. We took her to two different emergency rooms where both doctors came to the same conclusion - an alergic reaction to something. We thought it might be some kind of bug bite, so that night we took all the furniture out of their room and sprayed everything down with Raid. The girls had a blast sleeping in the living room and playing with the matresses.

When she saw her regular doctor a few days later, he agreed that it was most likely an alergic reaction. However, we are not quite sure to what. She had strawberry for the first time that weekend, but the reaction started over 24 hours after eating it. The only other thing I can think of was the oj we gave her. Either way, no citric foods for at least another 6 months!

With all that happend with Elena the past few weeks, we've been having some problems getting her to sleep in her bed at night. Usually she cries and climbs out of her bed quite a few times. By the time she finally falls asleep, we often find her in some of the weirdest postions.

Like Mother, like daugher. Hello.

A good picture to show off his beard. Although it isn't as long anymore, he still has it. When Elena was asked to find Daddy in a picture that was taken when he was clean shaven, she couldn't find him. When he decides to shave it all again, hopefully she won't be too tramatized.
One weekend in the beginning of May, Gera's grandma Juana invited all the grandkids out to visit. We went swimming in the river and really enjoyed the time in family. She has a swing out in her yard which Katy really enjoyed. She sends a shout out to some of her beloved family members.
Although these are just a few of the shots from these past few months, we hope you've enjoyed watching.
