Semana Santa/ Easter

The whole week before Easter, Sara and Katy had off from school. Gera, on the other hand, was off for the week to Nicaragua. That left me alone with the two girls who loved taking Daddy's spot in the bed each morning.

It was too cute, I couldn't resist taking the picture.

We girls had lots of fun, but mostly we spent the mornings in the pool with our friends Keyla and Julie. Keyla is a little over a year and we are all hoping the they three girls grow up to be good friends.

Elena's big hat made it a little difficult for her at times. The girl has little to no fear of the water and does not mind getting her face wet at all.

This picture was one of at least ten tries to get them all to look at the camara at the same time. I eventually had to give up and settle for this one.

At school, Katy made these bunny ears and she was so proud of them. When Daddy got home she showed them to him. She even wore them to the corner store (pulperia for those who know) singing her bunny song and hopping the whole way.

On Easter morning, Gera and I hid some eggs and an easter basket for Katy to find. It was the first real time we had really done any kind of easter activity since the death of Christ is celebrated more than his resurrection.

It took her a few minutes, but she finally found it under the pillow.

A very proud girl with her basket of candy. Does that basket look familiar mom? I need the pattern to make one for Elena next year.

At church we had a guest speaker, our dear old friend Wil. He and his wife, Naylene, were down for a visit and after the service we had a great time of fellowship with some of the church family. It was such a blessing to see our friends again. (Naylene, still waiting for you to start your blog:)
