Katy Lou keeps growing more and more each day. This past week saw the coming in of her four eye teeth, the learning of new words including owie, milk, venga (which means come) and meow.
It would seem that the next big milestone would be potty training which is one of this summer's goals. (Mommy is being very ambitious).

Here she is trying out her new potty while reading Spot, one of her new favorite books.
Growing up also included Daddy, who passed his math test and can now move onto his bachillerato tests! YEAH!! Gera is taking three tests in August (English, Social Studies and Math) and plans on taking the remaining three in March. Then on to university! Keep him in your prayers as he will be very busy these next few months studying and working two jobs.
Our friend, Alex, was getting some practice in at being dad. His daughter is due in October. Alex works with his wife, Julie, as directors of the Operation Mobilzation Costa Rica. OM is a world wide missions organization that Gera has worked with throught the past 8 years or so.These past 6 months he's been taking a class called Global Action, which is an introduction to mission class as well as leadership training class. Graduation was this past Saturday.
The whole family went to cheer Daddy on. Katy was a little out of sorts with her teeth, but she trouped her way through the ceremony.
L to R: Katy Lou, Sara, Gera, Alex and Julie. Alex and Julie were two of the leaders for the global action class.
My third graders have all growed up. Our last class picture together before the end of the year. The last day of school is Thursday. Although a vacation will be nice, this is the first year that I'm not going Stateside for the summer. I don't think it's hit me yet how much I'm going to miss it. Of course, I have lots to keep me busy, but the hardest part will be not seeing everyone. I'm definately going to be lonely.
