Mom's Visit

Yes, for all you that are wondering, Mom made it down safe and sound. She even made it out of the airport before we got there to pick her up! (only 10 minutes) Katy was very happy to see her Grandmama and gave her a big hug right away. She was also very happy with all the presents she got.

Here she is trying on her new shoes that were too small...can you believe she jumped from a size 5 to a size 6 1/2 or 7! Hopefully her body will catch up with her feet some day:)



Katy especially loved the Cinderella baseball and bat, it is her new favorite game.

Elena was also very happy with her presents...okay to tell the truth she doesn't even know, but mommy is happy about them.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH TO ALL WHO SENT! You have no idea what a blessing it is. We love you all and miss you so very much!

I finally got inspired to do some rearranging and decorating while Gera is gone.

Until everything is completely finished, the only picture you will get to see is of the roman shade that I made, super easy and will love even better once the valance is hung:) It works great and makes the dining space look so much bigger. The rest of the projects will have to wait until after our cloudy trip to the beach. Yes, you read right, it is supposed to be cloudy the entire time we are there:(

Katy also wanted her picture taken with the new shade, so here is the bottom half.

We finally got a picture of the little lady smiling thanks to Grandmama. When we tried to get one of her looking at the camera she just stared at it like it was some sort of alien.

Grandmama is really enjoying spending time with her two granddaughters, especially since she doesn't have any distractions like work or her garden. Although she is instigating much of the renovations going on. All good though, nothing too outrageous.
