El Castillo

This post should've happened many weeks ago, but the pictures are so nice that I just can't ignore them. Soon after the new year, we were able to spend some time with our good friends Shirley and Carlos "Pepe". Carlos' dad has a membership to a club called El Castillo - the castle - where we enjoyed swimming, grilling out, a train ride and just the beautiful countryside.

Despite the cooler weather, the pool was in a closed in area with a roof, so we enjoyed the heat of the sun without the wind.

As always, the girls had a blast in the water. Katy now puts her face in by herself and Elena is blowing bubbles. Both will go under, Elena a little easier than Katy.

After drying off, we went out to a rancho where we grilled and enjoyed the ducks swimming in the lack nearby.

Katy also enjoyed playing with the water in the brook that ran next to our rancho.

Perfect place for a family picture.

After lunch we went on a train ride. Here are all of us enjoying the slow ride around the track.

Elias is 8 months older than Katy and refers to her as "the girl he is going to marry". They actually get along really well.

Everyone was all smiles at the end of the day.
